We believe that a Care Home should be:

  • Where each person is an individual
  • Where there are no unnecessary rules and regulations
  • Where dignity, peace and comfort take priority
  • Where companionship, interest and activity flourishes.
  • And where people are supported to lead the fullest possible lives

About Us

Royal Bay Nursing Home has been operated by the current providers since 1999.  Set in the south coast village of Aldwick, two minutes from neighbouring Bognor Regis, Royal Bay Nursing has been part of local history since back in the 1960s/70s, when it hosted a variety of live music, and was named the 'Bali Hai' club.

With an oustanding reputation for care in the local community, Royal Bay Nursing Home is run by the Registered Manager Richard Westwood, Deputy Maddie Murtagh, our Head of Care Angela Mayhew and a team of dedicated staff with a number of relevant health care qualifications. The home has also achieved their Gold Standards Framework accreditation (GSF) 'Quality Hallmark' award. A framework for implementing improved coordination and better organisation to deliver better outcomes in line with their needs and preferences for people nearing end of life care.

Royal Bay Care Home's Head Office is based at Royal Bay Nursing Home, West Sussex and the group owns a number of Care Homes in Sussex, Dorset, Northamptonshire and Worcestershire. Royal Bay is an expanding group committed to the highest standards of care. It has been operating as a group for some 10 years, and its management team has experience in the care sector since 1978.
